WebXtra: East Texas Auto and Cycle Show kicks off at Oil Palace

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – The Annual East Texas Auto and Cycle Show is underway at the Oil Palace in Tyler. The show benefits the East Texas Crisis Center.

The center helps victims of domestic violence with emergency housing and other services.

“It’s a shame they have to exist, but they do,” said Ronny Anderson, who is showing his 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury. “We have raised over two million dollars doing this for the crisis center.”

It’s the first year the show will be both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor portion begins on Saturday.

“Power steering, power brakes, bright red…just a fun car to drive,” said Robert Dodd, who helped restore the car.

This year, you can buy raffle tickets for a chance at a 1967 Mustang. You do not need to be present for the drawing on Sunday to win.

Admission is $15, while kids 12 and under get in free.
