Roundabout meeting
Ascension Parish government and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will hold a public meeting for the proposed roundabout at Hwy. 73 south of the proposed Bluff Road Connector.
The meeting will be from 5-7 p.m. March 26 at the Dutchtown Middle School gymnasium.
Classic car show
The Classic Cars 4 Christmas Crusade will be March 15 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Cabela’s in Gonzales.
The event is sponsored by Ascension Credit Union and it benefits the sheriff’s annual Christmas Crusade for children.
Election day
Louisiana voters will head to the polls for the March 29 election.
Early voting begins March 15 and ends March 22 (excluding March 16).

Jeep, car show
The Donaldsonville classic car and Jeep show will be April 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Louisiana Square, in front of the Ascension Parish Courthouse.
Red Tape Musiq will perform.
Gospel event
The second annual Gospel Fest will be April 5 at the Lemann Memorial Center in Donaldsonville.
The event will include live choir performances.
Easter market
The Hippity Hoppity Easter Market has been set for April 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Duplessis Park.
The event will include vendors, food trucks, an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter bunny.
Day of Service
The VFW National Day of Service will be May 3 at the post on Churchpoint Road in Gonzales.
The event will include free jambalaya, indoor vendor market, blood drive and bar.
Ascension Parish Day
Ascension Parish Day at the Capitol in Baton Rouge will be May 7.
The event will be from 4:30-8 p.m.
Ascension GOP Roundtable
Ascension Republican Women will host the Ascension GOP Roundtable at the Clarion Inn in Gonzales March 20.
The guest speaker will be Scott McKay.
Jambalaya Festival
The 58th annual Gonzales Jambalaya Festival will be held May 23-25 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.
The event will include live music, cooking contests, a 5K/mile run, vendors, carnival and car show.
Flag football
La Prospects Flag Football Assocation has been playing weekly at East Ascension High School with upcoming season dates.

Save the dates
The Krewe of Ascension Mambo announced the next Mardi Gras parade in Gonzales has been scheduled for Feb. 7, 2026.
The Donaldsonville Mardi Gras parade has been set for Feb. 1, 2026 and the city’s Christmas parade will be Dec. 20 this year.
The annual Veterans Day parade will be Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. in Gonzales.
The route includes Irma Blvd., Worthey Rd., Burnside Ave. and Cornerview Rd.
