Greenway donates $100,000 to fight food insecurities

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – For the past 6 years, Greenway has partnered with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas, the Arkansas Food Bank, and the Southeast Missouri Food Bank to raise funds to fight food insecurity.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Greenway presented a check for $100,000, putting the total at $1 million.

“To know that we have an agricultural partner that is helping us serve more people and feed more families, it’s such a critical partnership that is so important to us,” said Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas CEO Christie Jordan.

For Greenway, it’s a way to try and erase some of that food insecurity.

“We feel like childhood hunger is a huge cause for our company and our customers, one that we can all get behind,” said Greenway Equipment CEO Bill Midkiff. ”We just wanted to do whatever we could to help the food banks fight that.”
