After enabling players to join forces in Elden Ring, Sekiro, and Armored Core 6, a modder named Yui has now brought the same feature to Dark Souls 3 with the Seamless Co-op mod, which “lets you play with friends throughout the entire game without any restrictions.”
An early testing version of the mod is now available on Nexus Mods. However, the developer warns that this version doesn’t offer a completely bug-free experience, and if you encounter any issues, please report them to Yui with as much detail as possible to help get them fixed quickly.
In Dark Souls 3: Seamless Co-op, if a player dies, they will respawn in the same world at the last bonfire they rested at, and the session will continue without being terminated. Defeating enemy bosses and clearing areas no longer forces co-operators to return to their own worlds. All fog walls and barriers that typically restrict the multiplayer zone have been removed. NPC dialogue and events are now synchronized across players. When one player rests at a bonfire, the world state will reset for all players. Additionally, game progression made in online play will also affect progress in each player’s own world. The mod supports up to 5 other players in the open world and includes an overhaul of Dark Souls 3’s peer-to-peer connection system using Steam’s newer networking API.
