Another femme fatale is making her way into Wuthering Waves: Kuro Games announced that Update 2.2 for the open-world RPG will feature Cantarella as a playable character. The 5-Star Resonator is the head of the Fisalia family, one of the two leading noble houses in Rinascita. Wuthering Waves 2.0 already introduced Carlotta, the heiress of the rivaling Montelli family.
Cantarella’s role, weapon class, and damage type are not yet known, but she appears to be a divisive figure in the game’s world.

“The current head of Fisalia, Cantarella, the Bane. Whether I am the Bane of the wicked or the pure is yours to decide,” Cantarella is quoted as saying about herself.
“The Fisalia family’s thirty-sixth head, Cantarella Fisalia. She locks your gaze with eyes as deep as the ocean, where dark tides seem to surge and swirl,” a short lore primer describes. “For a moment, you think you glimpse something in the ocean’s depths — but you are unsure if it is the shadow of a giant sea creature… or the tail feathers of the Celestial Steed.”
Parts of the Fisalia family have openly opposed the Montelli family’s attempts to modernize the country, working with the church to curb their reformist ideas. Though publicly perceived to be devout followers of Rinascita’s Sentinel, there appear to be heretical tendencies inside the clan. Cantarella has been remarkably inactive when it comes to rooting out these issues, so Update 2.0 might finally see her join the action in the story along with her debut as a playable character.
Her visual appearance certainly reinforces the Fisalias’ deep sea theme, combining it with the pomp of an aristocratic dame — including a stylish jellyfish parasol.
Wuthering Waves 2.2 is set to come to PC, PS5, iOS, and Android towards the end of March 2025.
