The renowned motoring presenter Jeremy Clarkson has discreetly filmed a new car show. This follows his recent health worries, during which he confessed to “trying everything not to die” and working hard to ensure he stays alive for his grandchildren.
According to The Daily Star, they disclosed that the Top Gear icon is featured in the new series of Car SOS.
The producers of the popular show persuaded Jeremy to assist in restoring a Land Rover Discovery Series 1 for a deserving motorist, even agreeing to host the grand unveiling at his residence.
Show host Tim Shaw told the publication, “Jeremy was happy for us to bring a full coachload of people. Just imagine 60 strangers turning up at your property!”
Tim further shared: “We spent about half an hour with Jeremy, and he was warm, friendly, and, of course, typically sarcastic and funny,” reports the Daily Star.
“He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team and, most importantly, the car’s owner.”
The new series kicks off on March 13 at 8pm on National Geographic.
Jeremy is celebrated for his car shows, particularly Top Gear, which he presented from 2002 to 2015 alongside Richard Hammond and James May.
They subsequently developed The Grand Tour for Amazon’s Prime Video, launching in 2016. It ran until September 2024, when they decided to conclude it.
Reflecting on the show’s conclusion, James told Yahoo UK: “It’s sort of sad, and I know people are sad that it’s over, but it couldn’t go on forever, and we’re all getting on a bit.
“And we exhausted the idea fairly thoroughly, I think, so it’s like we quietly put it to one side rather than destroy it.”
