(CNN) – A few states are offering a major warning for pet owners.
Some house cats in Oregon became sick with the bird flu and had to be euthanized because of their illness.
Raw pet food made by Wild Coast Raw has been linked to the cats’ sickness.
The Agriculture Departments in both Washington State and Oregon issued the public health notice.
They announced a recall for the boneless free-range chicken formula.
The formula has a “best by” date of December 2025.
Consumers are urged to check the lot number and to stop feeding it to their pets.
