Awards season is in full swing – and for Pamela Anderson, who has been promoting her critically acclaimed new movie The Last Showgirl, it has been a whirlwind 2025 so far. After attending the Golden Globes last month and then journeying to Paris for Couture Fashion Week, the actress was in London this weekend to attend the BAFTAs, where she impressed on the red carpet in a white off-the-shoulder dress by Jacquemus that was custom-made for her, and a striking necklace by Pandora, one which featured 68 carats of lab-grown diamonds, some of which had been recycled from her Met Gala look last May.
The actress has gone through something of a personal style reboot in recent years, moving away from the pin-up look she was so well known for into a more pared-back make-up free aesthetic. Not only has her movement towards natural beauty been wholeheartedly accepted by her fans, but it has given her a sense of freedom and, she explains, more time.
Getting ready for a big award show now involves a much more stress-free and less time-consuming routine than previously. Below, discover all about her BAFTA prep, and why she wants to take risks with her wardrobe now.
Can you talk us through your outfit for the BAFTAs – how did you decide what to wear?
“I’m wearing a white gown by Jacquemus. Simon [Porte Jacquemus] is a good friend and I really love the dress he’s made for me. White is a colour I sincerely gravitate to, it feels like home time and again.”
What jewellery are you wearing for the evening?
“I’m wearing Pandora – we wanted to add some movie star glamour, which this necklace certainly does. We kept the styling simple to let the necklace shine. It’s been created especially for tonight so I feel very lucky to be wearing it.”
What makes Pandora such a great fit for you and your personal style?
“Pandora is a wonderful collaborator – their lab-grown diamonds always make me feel special. Sustainable diamonds are guilt free.”
How involved do you tend to be with the styling process for a big event like this?
“Self-styled is my mantra. I’ve done all the fancy stuff with a big team in the past – that was another time, another experience. I prefer being more involved at this stage of my life. Before ‘getting ready’ I just go for a nice walk these days and write in my journal, and it takes me only a few minutes to reapply my skincare.”
What kind of fashion makes you feel your most confident?
“Neutrals, but surprising pops of colour – a hat or patterns are fun and elegant once in a while. It’s been a long press tour, but I’ve been inspired to try new things. I’m not opposed to colour, especially with a fresh face or modest make-up – and looking back, since I was a young girl I have always changed my hair style dramatically. I’m a bit of a chameleon and am looking forward to taking more risks. It is what’s in the clothes and inside our hearts that counts most – our style is a reflection of our spirit.”
How has your red-carpet style evolved over the years?
“We all evolve, change, enter new chapters, get new inspiration – this is a challenging new time of growth for me, but a happy one. It is a career-defining chapter – and I’m pushing myself to explore hard to reach places with vulnerability and gratitude. I’m more involved in the process and really making sure I feel like me.”
What has been your most memorable fashion moment in recent years and why?
“There have been many, but deciding to go make-up free was a move where I couldn’t have anticipated how it would resonate. I’m allowing the next incarnation to come in its own time – I have insecurities like we all do but ‘striving for imperfection’ has been a new perspective and you are ultimately less disappointed.”
When do you feel your most beautiful?
“When there are no mirrors around and I am just living as me – probably when I’m in my garden and my dogs stare at me with unconditional love, they see the truth.”
