The Verizon Gizmo is a great alternative to giving your kids a phone if you don’t think they may be ready for one, according to Verizon Tech Expert Liz Gelardi.
“It’s a great alternative if you feel like your child isn’t quite ready for a smartphone, but you still want that peace of mind as a parent, knowing their location and knowing you can get ahold of them,” said Gelardi. “It’s helping those families navigate our digital world a little more safely, you’re providing your child with some independence, but as a parent, you have some insight into who can contact your child, who can see where they’re at.”
The Gizmo allows parents to approve specific phone numbers of who can reach the child, set safe zones, and get notifications of when children move.
