KINGSTON, R.I. – Santoro Oil is partnering with Rhode Island Athletics to sponsor a food drive at both home men’s basketball games this week, as well as Saturday’s women’s home game.
Fans are encouraged to help spread the love around Valentine’s Day on behalf of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Through donations, federal commodities and purchases, the R.I. Community Food Bank distributes healthy, culturally relevant food to the pantries, meal sites, senior programs and school programs that put food in the hands of the Rhode Islanders who need it most.
The program has 147 member agencies across the state that provide food for nearly 85,000 Rhode Islanders each month.
Every person who brings a non-perishable food item to either Wednesday’s game against St. Bonaventure or Saturday’s game against La Salle will receive a voucher for two tickets to the March 8 home game against Fordham.
