CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Boys & Girls Club of the Corridor received a donation of brand new shoes and socks to help children in the club keep their feet warm during the cold temperatures.
The donation came from Dave Wright Subaru through their partnership with Operation Warm and Subaru Loves to Help.
A gifting event was held to allow the kids to pick out their favorite colors and styles of shoe, and volunteers from Dave Wright Subaru helped to fit them with the right size.
“Every child deserves to feel confident, and supported,” John Tursi, Executive Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor, said. “Thanks to the generosity of Dave Wright Subaru, Operation Warm, and the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, our club members received new shoes and socks and also experienced the joy of picking out items that reflect their unique personalities.”
The Boys & Girls Club of the Corridor provides summer and after school programs to hundreds of kids throughout Marion, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. You can read about them or make a donation on their website.
