Woman’s dream of a mobile coffee truck shattered

  • Brittany Taylor’s newly built coffee and beverage truck was totaled in a car accident on January 26.
  • Taylor and her husband spent nine months and $20,000 converting a 1972 Dodge Champion RV into the food truck.
  • Taylor’s daughter started a GoFundMe campaign to help her mother rebuild the business.

Brittany Taylor’s dream of having her own food truck had recently been realized.

Then, on Jan. 26, on her way to her Appling home from her first event with the food truck, the driver of another car pulled out in front of her, causing a crash that left the RV a total loss.

No one was injured in the crash, but now Taylor and her family are trying to pick up the pieces and start over. Valleire, her oldest daughter, was with her mother in the truck.

Valleire, a junior at Harlem High School, has started a Go Fund Me campaign to help raise money to help replace the food truck.

“We were all devastated,” she wrote on the Go Fund Me page. “All that hard work and money poured into it. I just want to see my mama live her dream again and not lose motivation for her business. With the help of y’all, we could keep the business going and my mama could keep doing what she loves.”
