Austrian indie game Dungeons of Hinterberg is coming to PS5 on March 13, 2025, developer Microbird Games and publisher Curve Games have announced. The action RPG launched in July 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.
Dungeons of Hinterberg is yet another Xbox-supported game making its way to Sony’s console following Microsoft’s strategic pivot to a multiplatform focus. Microsoft announced earlier this week that Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold will come to PS5 soon, porting another two iconic games from its own catalog over to PlayStation.

Microbirds Games / Curve Games
Microbird Games’ debut title features combat – including against mighty bosses – and puzzles, allowing players to discover the magic and lore of the Alps in different biomes.
“Since magic has suddenly appeared in the small Austrian village of Hinterberg, tourists and adventurers from all over the world come to conquer dungeons, find epic loot and hang out at Hinterberg’s famous apres-slay bar,” the game’s description reads. “Players can explore different biomes, solve puzzles, slay huge bosses — then have a Schnitzel with the locals and other slayers from around the globe. Building deep relationships can unlock special abilities and gameplay systems or give players key items, helping them find their way through a daunting dungeon.”
Dungeons of Hinterberg’s PS5 version will feature all of the released content for the game including its New Game Plus mode. Put in numbers, that’s over 25 dungeons, over 20 enemy and boss types, four biome types, over ten hub locations in Hinterberg, and more than 20 residents to interact with.
A brand-new bonus episode will be included in the PS5 port as well, so there’ll be something completely fresh to discover for everyone.
