Del Taco, the nation’s second largest taco chain, is expanding into Indiana.
The Lake Forest, California-based chain on Thursday announced plans to open 10 stores in central and southern Indiana.
Target markets for the franchisee-owned locations include Plainfield, Avon, Bloomington, Bedford and Columbus.
Voted Best Fast Food Restaurant in USA Today’s 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, its menu includes Mexican and American favorites such as burritos, quesadillas, burgers and fries, as well as breakfast items.
The chain, owned by Jack in the Box, has about 600 restaurants across 17 states.

The company did not provide a timeline for the development of the Indiana stores.
