4-H Golden Clovers help kids at Adams County Fair Fest

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Leadership has a lot of different names these days. For example, 4-H leaders are named, Golden Clovers.

The Golden Clovers are selected every year as people who have been active in the 4-H club and have been with them for an extended period of time. This year, for Adams County, Dakotah McCoy and Taidyn Johnson were selected as the Golden Clovers, which has always came with a lot of responsibilities.

These responsibilities include going around, and helping kids with their larger animals. This challenge has not made McCoy or Johnson back down, but grow the whole club closer together.

“Everybody is just out here running around doing their own thing,” McCoy stated on Wednesday, “but in the end of the day, we are all family.”

This family mindset has made everyone closer and makes them cheer on for every accomplishment they make, even if it is unrelated to what they bring to the table themselves.

“We are all here willing to help each other out,” Johnson added.

This not only makes leaders, but also brings everyone closer together knowing that what ever they do, they are not alone.
