In a release, a representative for the Middle Georgia Chef and restaurant owner says she is known for her “soulful, southern-forward” cuisine with a “modern twist,” including dishes like Boudin Balls, Pimento Cheeseburgers, Pepper Jelly Lamb Chops and Soul Food Egg Rolls all served at Her Majesty Kitchen.
Ogletree, along with other elite chefs from four regions of America, created their best dishes to compete in a five-part tournament to win a cash prize.
WGXA learned that the Middle Georgia chef won the episode and plans to use the money as a down payment toward owning the property where her restaurant sits at 94 E Adams St in Forsyth.
In her speech at the event, Ogletree reflected on what inspired her love for the culinary arts.
“Food is such a connector, it allows us to live in harmony, it allows us to agree and learn how to disagree,” said Olgtree. “This episode of Chopped – is titled ‘Super Hero Chef,’ and I was able to compete alongside some really awesome, amazing people, who remind you humanity is not lost or broken.”
