Some of Bartlesville’s favorite restaurants cited for food safety violations

The Oklahoma State Department of Health conducts licensing and inspection of food establishments.

Below are the results of the May and June inspections in Bartlesville, based on results reported in the department’s online database.

Bartlesville restaurants and establishments with food inspection violations in April and May

The following restaurants reportedly had violations in the last series of inspections.

• Bubble Wrapped (Inspected 6/11/2025): Three violations were found concerning pest control, date marking and handwashing sink cleanliness and signage.
• Casey’s #4201, 925 SW Frank Phillips Blvd (Inspected 6/5/2025): Three violations were found concerning handwashing facilities, food separation procedures and pest control.
• Chicken Express Bartlesville (Inspected 6/9/2025): Five violations were found concerning licensing, handwashing facilities, warewashing sanitation, cleanliness of food contact surfaces and overall facility maintenance. (Note: 6/17/2025 follow-up reported no violations.)
• Freddy’s Frozen Custard (Inspected 6/16/2025): Four violations were found concerning cleanliness of food contact surfaces, food labeling, cleanliness of non-food contact surfaces and cleanliness of facility.
• Frontier Pool Concessions (Inspected 6/9/2025): One violation was found concerning a valid license to operate. (Note: 6/19/2025 follow-up reported no violations.)
• Hill Crest Country Club (Inspected 6/3/2025): Two violations were found concerning handwashing facilities and facility cleanliness.
• Hillcrest Country Club / Pool Snack Bar (Inspected 6/3/2025): Three violations were found concerning food separation practices, pest control and cleanliness of food contact surfaces
• Jared’s Frozen Custard (Inspected 6/9/2025): Two violations were found concerning licensing and cleanliness of food contact surfaces. (Note: 6/10/2025 follow-up reported no violations.)
• Melody’s (Inspected 6/5/2025): Three violations were found concerning date marking, warewashing sanitation and facility cleanliness.
• Palace Rooms (Inspected 6/9/2025): Five violations were found concerning handwashing facilities, food condition and safety, warewashing sanitation, cleanliness of food contact surfaces and facility cleanliness.
• Richard Kane Elementary (Inspected 5/6/2025): Two violations were found concerning the cleanliness of food contact surfaces and non-food contact surfaces.
• Sonic Drive-In, 3800 SE Nowata Rd (Inspected 6/17/2025): Six violations were found concerning cold holding temperatures, time control procedures, cleanliness of food and non-food contact surfaces and facility maintenance and cleanliness.
• Sooner Pool Concessions (Inspected 6/3/2025): Two violations were found concerning licensing and warewashing sanitation.
• Subway #7216, 1412 SE Washington Blvd Ste A (Inspected 5/28/2025): Four violations were found concerning cold holding temperatures, thermometer accuracy, cleanliness of non-food surface and facility maintenance.
• Tropical Smoothie Café (Inspected 6/16/2025): Two violations were found concerning food contact surfaces and prevention of food contamination during preparation and storage.
• Weeze’s Café (Inspected 6/9/2025): Three violations were found concerning cleanliness of food contact surfaces, surface cleanability and facility cleanliness.
• Wingstop (Inspected 6/17/2025): Two violations were found concerning cleanliness of non-food surfaces and overall facility maintenance.
