Dining out with the kids doesn’t need to break the bank. Here’s where they eat for free

Summer break is in full swing and parents may find themselves in need of a break and someone else to do the cooking. However, eating out doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank. We have some restaurants in the Pensacola area where children can eat for free or at a significantly discounted price.

Outback Steakhouse

903 Airport Blvd.

Outback Steakhouse is hoping to establish the Australian steakhouse as a “summer tradition” for families with a “kids eat free” with the purchase of a full-price adult entrée promotion running every Monday through Sept. 1. “For the mums behind the campfires, cannonballs, and carpool chaos — Outback’s got Monday dinner covered,” Outback wrote in an online statement. If dining in person, mention “kids eat free” to your server. If ordering online, use the code “JoeyFree.” The offer is limited to one discount per table or per to-go order and excludes applicable taxes and gratuity.

Rotolo’s of Gulf Breeze

There’s no more perfect time for a pizza night than on a Tuesday when Rotolo’s of Gulf Breeze offers its Kids Night special and kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée. The kids’ meals include options for pizzas, pastas and chicken tenders.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

5100 N. Ninth Ave.

Moe’s offers a free kids meal with the purchase an adult meal every Sunday. The offer includes an item off the kids menu plus a cookie and drink. The offer is available for both dine-in and carry-out.

Newk’s Eatery

5060 Bayou Blvd.

Newk’s Eatery is here to do the cooking and cleaning for you by offering a $.99 kids’ meal every Saturday with the purchase of an adult entrée. Kids can order anything off the kids’ menu from 10:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the deal is offered on both dine-in and to-go.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s

1 New Market Street

Beef  ‘O’ Brady’s is offering a summer special that is hard to pass up with $1.99 kid combos every day throughout July. Kids’ meal choices include chicken tenders, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, and mini corn dogs, all accompanied by a side, a drink and a treat. The offer is dine-in only and is available with the purchase of at least one adult entrée.

Miller’s Ale House

5906 N. Davis Highway

Miller’s Ale House offers a Tuesday “Kids Eat Free” special in which children receive a free kids meal with the purchase of a $10 food item. Choices include a kids burger, quesadilla, Chicken Zingers, fried shrimp, macaroni and cheese and grilled chicken breast. There is a limit to two free kids meals per table. This offer is dine-in only.

Red Robin

5100 N. Ninth Ave.

Red Robin is hoping to “turn that Wednesday frown upside down” with a half-off kids’ meal special, which includes a kids’ entrée, side and a drink at participating locations. When dining in, you will also receive unlimited free refills of bottomless sides and drinks. If ordering online, use the code KIDSMEAL50. The deal is limited to four kids’ meals per one adult entrée, entrée salad, sandwich, wrap or burger. The offer is valid for dine-in, to-go and delivery and is only valid for children under 11 years old.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday offers two opportunities each week for children to score a free meal: from 5 p.m. to close on Tuesday and all day Friday with the purchase of a full-priced adult entrée for children 12 and under. This offer is dine-in only and is not available with limited-time offers or daily deals. Some of the menu items feature chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, cheeseburgers and more.

Denny’s

535 W. Nine Mile Road

From 4-10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, children 12 and under can receive one free kids’ meal per adult meal. Some of the options include a cheeseburger meal, chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. Drinks are not included.
