Two Brothers Pizzeria, 5201 Spring Rd., P.O. Box 399, Shermans Dale, June 6. Pass. No violations.

Zeiderelli`s Pizza, 16 S. Market St., Duncannon, June 5. Pass. Observed the following areas dusty/dirty and otherwise in need of cleaning: – Ceiling in the main food prep area observed with peeling paint – Static dust build-up observed on the wall adjacent to the fryer area – Black mold-like substance observed on the silicone seal between the wall and three-bay sink in the dishwashing area.

Lumberjack’s Kitchen, 3200 Susquehanna Trl., Duncannon, June 4. Pass. Sponges observed in the dish area being used to clean food contact surfaces. Corrected on-site. Observed the paper towel dispensers empty at the handwash stations in the main kitchen area and bar area. Both corrected on-site. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed food residue build-up and a black, mold-like substance on the door gaskets of the bain-marie unit located behind the grill line in the main food prep area. Corrected on-site. Observed deteriorating silicone seals with a black mold-like substance between the wall and the three-bay sink in the dish washing area.

Bambino’s Original Pizza, 23 S. 2nd St., Newport, June 3. Pass. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours is not being date marked. Observed in-house sliced deli meats and cheeses in the walk-in cooler without proper date-marking. Corrected on-site.

New Garden Chinese Restaurant, 4 Newport Plz., Newport, June 3. Pass. Old food residue and utensils observed in the handwash sink in the food prep area, indicating uses other than handwashing. Educated operator on proper hand wash station procedures and corrected on-site. Observed the following foods stored open with no covering: Bus tub of shredded cabbage underneath the rice cooker in the food prep area. Bus tubs of processed vegetables in the walk-in cooler. Buckets of soy sauce in the walk-in cooler. All corrected on-site. Observed two adhesive fly strips, an insect control device, located in the food prep area directly above a prep table with potential to contaminate food, equipment, and/or utensils. Coached operator on proper insect control device placement and corrected on-site. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed food residue and build-up on the rice cooker, including the underside of the unit, and the table the rice cooker is located on in the food prep area next to the bain-marie unit.
