Food Network announces tribute to Anne Burrell

Food Network announced it is planning two special programming events as a tribute to the late Anne Burrell, who died last week at her home in Brooklyn, New York.

Fans of Food Network would recognize her from several shows such as “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef,” for which she received an Emmy nomination. She also appeared on “Worst Cooks in America,” “Chef Wanted,” “Chopped,” and other Food Network series.

On Wednesday, June 25, beginning at 10pm ET/PT, a curated selection of encore episodes featuring Burrell will highlight her “extraordinary talent as a chef, competitor and teacher,” according to Food Network.

Following this, a new season of “Worst Cooks in America” featuring her final appearance as a mentor will premiere on Food Network on Monday, July 28 at 9pm ET/PT and stream the next day on HBO Max.

The tribute will include these episodes featuring Burrell: Guy’s Grocery Games – “All-Stars and A-Lister Dinners,” “Worst Cooks in America: Worst of the Worst,” “Worst Cooks in America: Boot Camp Diaries.”

Burrell died on June 17 and may have suffered cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports. She was 55 years old.

Burrell died at her home in Brooklyn, New York. She is survived by her husband, Stuart Claxton, whom she married in 2021, and his son, her mother and her two siblings.
