
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Library is set to offer engaging summer programs, including a Summer Reading Challenge open to all ages.
Participants who read 10 books or dedicate 10 hours to reading will earn a free book. To participate, sign up online or in person at the library.
In addition to the reading challenge, all Kern County Libraries will provide lunch for children and teens aged 2 to 18.
Adults can also enjoy the meals for a small fee.
Lunch will be available from Monday to Saturday, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
