It’s slime time!
The 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards took over the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Saturday. The annual slime-filled celebration, hosted by singer Tyla and featuring performances by Machine Gun Kelly and Katseye, included appearances by Jack Black, Auliʻi Cravalho, Benny Blanco, Terry Crews, Ice Spice, and SZA.
Before getting thoroughly gooed, Black was honored with a blimp and named the King of Comedy in recognition of his career. “This is so awesome!” he said, thanking his Nacho Libre costars Anna de la Reguera and Héctor Jiménez, who traveled from Mexico to present him with the award. “It means so much. We made Nacho Libre about 20 years ago in Oaxaca, Mexico, viva, Mexico!” he said. “I want to give a shout out to all my School of Rockers out there and to all my Super Mario bros and sisters, and, last but not least, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a big shout-out to all the chicken jockeys,” he added, referencing A Minecraft Movie.
Rihanna received the Icon Award and accepted the honor via video, telling her fans to “own your space in this world and know that you are chosen for greatness.” Sabrina Carpenter, meanwhile, took home multiple honors — Favorite Album for Short N’ Sweet, Favorite Female Breakout Artist, and Favorite Song for “Taste.” She accepted via video, saying, “I’ve always wanted one of these ever since I was a little girl.”
