Cops, kids and community

COEUR d’ALENE — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office held a free community barbecue Saturday.

The day’s events included K-9 demos, a drone team, first-responder equipment, a SWAT response vehicle, a chance to meet Kootenai County Fire and Rescue teams and a vendor fair.
