Friday, June 20, is the summer solstice — the longest day of the year — when the Northern Hemisphere is tilted closest to the sun. To celebrate, several national brands are offering limited-time deals on wings, fries, coffee and sweet treats.
Buffalo wild wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is running a buy-one-get-one-free deal on boneless wings for members of its Blazin’ Rewards program. Customers can choose from regular sauces or new flavors like Buffalo Ranch and Luau BBQ, a smoky pineapple blend.
Sonic Drive-in
Sonic Drive-In is offering its new Groovy Fries for just $1 in any size for the entire month of June. The fries come with Groovy Sauce, described as a creamy ranch and herb blend with a touch of sriracha.
Kroger
Kroger will give away 45,000 pints of its store-brand ice cream Thursday while supplies last. Shoppers must visit FreeKrogerIceCream.com to claim a one-time-use digital coupon.
Whataburger
Whataburger customers can grab a free 16-ounce iced coffee from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at locations in 15 states. The offer is valid in-store, via drive-thru, or through the Whataburger app or website.

Krispy Kreme is sweetening the day with a $1 dozen Original Glazed doughnuts when customers buy a dozen at regular price and use the code “SUMMER.”
