PERRYVILLE, Mo. (HEARTLAND WEEKEND) – A Heartland nonprofit is putting on its 6th annual Comic Con event this July.
According to organizers at Heroes for Kids, on July 19 and 20 at the Perry Park Center in Perryville, Missouri, guests will get to see a variety of vendor booths, authors, and more.
There will be photos and silent auctions, as well as a costume contest for both kids and adults.
Organizers say show booth fees and silent auction proceeds will benefit the Captain David Dorn Foundation and the Perry County Community Task Force.

Several celebrity guests will be in attendance: Scott Innes, voice actor for Scooby Doo, Scrappy Doo and Shaggy; Philo Barnhart, Disney Animation Artist; and Jerry “The King” Lawler, WWE Hall of Famer.
Local heroes including the Perryville Police and Fire Departments, Perry County Sheriff’s Office, EMS responders, military personnel and others will also be at the event.
Tickets are available online and at the door on the day of the show.
