NKY city ranks among tops in country for food, drink

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – One Northern Kentucky city is being recognized by a national publication for its flavorful dishes.

Covington ranked No. 4 on Food & Wine’s “Top Small U.S. Cities for Food and Drink,” part of its 2025 Global Tastemakers Awards. The magazine’s list features small cities with fewer than 100,000 residents, but vibrant food and beverage scenes. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Covington has a population of about 41,000.

While some lists in the series were voted on by a panel, the 11 cities in this category were curated by central Ohio-based writer Wendy Pramik. According to Pramik, the destinations were chosen through research, local insights and recommendations from fellow writers and editors at Food & Wine.
