The shared Instagram account for Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a trio of guest posters Sunday, when children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis took the platform over. The occasion: Father’s Day, with a post in tribute to their dad, the Prince of Wales.
In the social media post, the children posted a photo of themselves with their dad from photographer Josh Shinner. “Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!)” the caption began, a likely reference to the second photo in the post depicting the kids tackling their pop.
“We love you!” it concluded, with the signature “G, C & L.”
The Walses have been working with Skinner since 2023, when he shot their holiday portraits for their annual Christmas card. “Without doubt one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sittings I’ve ever had,” Skinner said at the time. “And I now have a whole new set of jokes that are right on my level thanks to the children…”
In recent years, Skinner has rotated photography duties with Kate Middleton, also an accomplished photographer. In fact, it was Middleton who snapped last year’s Father’s Day pic, which was also shared with the public in a kid-signed Insta post.
George, Charlotte, and Louis weren’t the only royals posting to social on Sunday, as the account shared by King Charles III and Queen Camilla also honored their dads. In an Instagram post that began with an image of the late Prince Phillip pushing a very young Charles and sister Princess Anne on a swing, Charles and Camilla wrote “To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today.”
A second photo showed Camilla and her late father Bruce Shand, father and daughter arm-in-arm at her 2005 wedding to Charles. (Yes, it has been 20 years since the couple wed, can you believe it?)
Via their Instagram stories (which expire after 24 hours, Charles and Camilla shared two more throwback clips. In one, an infant Chrles is lifted from a baby carriage by his father; a second story stitched together a number of clips of from Charles’s boyhood days with his dad.
