New Kid-Friendly Mini Instant Camera from myFirst Prints Stickers in a Snap

Spring break is around the corner, and every parent knows the challenge of keeping kids entertained without resorting to handing over their smartphone for an endless scroll of prank videos. While finding engaging types of kids’ activities can be a struggle, one tech company never fails to surprise and amuse young creators.

Just in time for the long recess, myFirst, a global leader in child-friendly technology, has once again revolutionized the kids’ photography space with the launch of its smallest instant print camera, the myFirst Camera Insta 20.

With years of experience crafting creative and safe devices for children, myFirst continues to bridge the gap between traditional play and modern technology. This latest addition to the myFirst product line was designed to inspire creativity, foster exploration, and provide hours of fun activities for kids.

G-Jay Yong, the founder of myFirst, shared his excitement about the new product. “We’re thrilled to introduce the myFirst Camera Insta 20, which represents our commitment to establishing creativity and exploration in children. This camera is a mini studio for young minds to capture and share their unique perspectives on the world around them.”

Instant Kids Camera with Unlimited Printing Potential

The myFirst Camera Insta 20 combines the excitement of instant picture printing with the convenience of a digital camera. It uses advanced thermal printing technology to produce photos and even stickers as fast as kids can push the button (under nine seconds), with a crisp and smooth 203 dpi print resolution (unlike the grainy conventional thermal printers).

In a break from traditional instant cameras that rely on expensive self-developing paper and chemicals, this model includes two rolls of thermal paper and one roll of thermal sticker paper, allowing kids to print up to 165 photos out of the box without the mess or the wait. Compact and lightweight, the 6.2oz camera fits in one hand, helping even the smallest photographers get a comfortable grip.

“We understand that kids live in the moment,” Yong noted. “Our camera allows them to capture those moments instantly, without the need for complicated processes or parental assistance.”

Balancing Technology and Creativity

Beyond its technical edge, the myFirst Camera Insta 20 is designed to nurture children’s creative instincts. The instant camera comes with two screens and two lenses, including high-definition selfie lens and 90° wide angle lens for 16MP resolution. It is preloaded with various filters, frames, and collage templates, allowing young users to personalize their photos directly on the camera. The included 4GB microSD card can save up to 1000 images or videos but can be expanded to 32GB to save more memories.

“We’ve included creative tools that challenge children to think and express themselves,” Yong explained. “From adding fun frames to printing photo stickers, kids can craft unique works of art with snapshots of their world.”

The camera’s sticker printing function adds an extra layer of fun, enabling children to create custom labels to personalize lunch boxes, toys, and more. This pushes playtime to the limits, with endless prints for kids to organize their school supplies or create scrapbooks of their adventures.

“We believe that creativity is a crucial skill for children to develop,” Yong stated. “The myFirst Camera Insta 20 helps kids to see the world through a different lens. It encourages them to be observant, to capture moments that matter to them, and to express themselves through visual storytelling.”

Focus on Kids’ Safety in a Digital Age

In an era when children’s gadgets often come loaded with games and distractions, the myFirst Camera Insta 20 takes a different perspective. The device intentionally omits built-in games, focusing instead on the core functions of photography and sharing. Playful countdowns and character expressions on the unique front screen act like a digital pet and make the device more interactive. Kids get an on-the-go photo booth to take outside, explore their environment, and journal about their adventures.

Yong emphasized this deliberate choice. “We wanted to create a tool that keeps children engaged with their surroundings, not distracted by screens. Our camera encourages kids to explore, observe, and document the world around them.”

A Leader in Kids’ Technology

As myFirst continues to unveil new products, the company remains committed to its core mission of providing safe, educational, and fun technology for children.

Recently, myFirst’s Camera 50 won the Reviewed Awards 2025 at CES 2025. This award recognized its technological design and how it balances learning, fun, and safety for kids, especially young photographers. The award added myFirst to Reviewed’s list of noteworthy products of the CES 2025 tech tradeshow under the parents and kids category.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve our offerings,” Yong concluded. “The positive response to the Camera Insta 20 motivates us to keep pushing boundaries and exploring new ways to enrich children’s lives through technology.”

With its user-friendly features, creative tools, and instant satisfaction, the myFirst Camera Insta 20 is poised to become a favorite among young photographers and their parents alike. As children worldwide begin to capture their worlds through this new lens, myFirst’s latest product promises to help them create not just photographs but lasting memories and valuable learning experiences.
