Golf with Us program offers free memberships for kids: Details here.

With the U.S. Open beginning today in Oakmont, golf is on the minds of many Pittsburghers. If you’re curious about introducing your child to the sport of golf, Bank of America is inviting all Pittsburgh area kids (ages 6-18) to enroll in its Golf with Us program.

Golf with Us offers golf access for $5 or less through a free, one-year membership to Youth on Course, which includes access to two local courses: Bob O’Connor Golf Course and 3 Lakes Golf Course. The deadline to enroll is this Sunday, June 15.

So far, we’re told that nearly 80,000 kids have signed up nationwide, including more than 500 in and around Pittsburgh.

Along with access to Bob O’Connor Golf Course and 3 Lakes Golf Course, enrollment in Youth on Course gives kids access to thousands of courses across the U.S. (great to visit if you’re on a family trip elsewhere in the country) and kids can also get logged with a registered handicap with the U.S. Golf Association.
