Music superstar helping to battle food insecurity in Maine

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Music superstar Shania Twain is doing her part to help end food insecurity in vulnerable communities, including here in Maine.

This summer, when she stops at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine will receive a $25,000 donation.

We’re told the money will help provide meals for 50,000 people.

Twain and her foundation are donating to local food banks at every stop on her tour.

The music superstar will perform in Bangor on July 22nd.
