Officials share totals from annual Stuff the Truck food donation event

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – First Alert 6 thanks the Omaha community for participating in our annual Stuff the Truck event last Thursday.

With the community’s help, 28,426 pounds of food was donated to Omaha-area food pantries and shelters. Officials of the event calculate that total at a value of roughly $6,250.

The food drive, sponsored by Methodist Health System, was held on June 5th. Donations were dropped off at four locations throughout the Omaha, Fremont and Council Bluffs areas.

Our staff took items such as diapers, toilet paper, soup, boxed meals, and more for families and people in need.
