
Modesto gears up for the 26th Annual American Graffiti Festival & Car Show from June 6–8, 2025, celebrating classic cars and 50s nostalgia.
MODESTO, Calif. — Modesto is shifting into high gear for a celebration of classic cars and rock n’ roll. The 26th Annual American Graffiti Festival & Car Show is rolling into town this weekend.
The weekend-long celebration also pays tribute to Modesto’s hometown legend George Lucas, specifically his cinematic masterpiece “American Graffiti” and the cruising culture made famous in it.
What to know
Parade & Cruise Night starts Friday, June 6. The festivities kick off with the famous cruise parade through Downtown Modesto and McHenry Avenue. The route runs from Downtown Modesto to Briggsmore Avenue.
Time: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Street closures begin at 3:30 p.m. and reopen after cleanup around 9 p.m.
The car show and festival takes place June 7–8 at MJC West Campus. There’ll be hundreds of classic cars, food vendors, memorabilia and live music.

- Catch Seve Botello as Elvis from 2-4 p.m.
The American Graffiti Festival is more than just a car show, it’s a celebration of classic car culture, rock ‘n’ roll and Modesto pride. It also supports a good cause, with proceeds benefiting local youth programs through the North Modesto Kiwanis.
