Hurricane preparedness food distribution event happening in Tallahassee Saturday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A hurricane preparedness food distribution event is happening Saturday in Tallahassee, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

Non-perishable food items and water will be given to one representative per family per vehicle during the distribution event, LCSO announced on social media Tuesday.

For those interested, the event takes place Saturday at the North Florida Fairgrounds, located at 441 E. Paul Russell Road, from 10 a.m. until noon or until food runs out, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office partnered with Farm Share and Leon County Commissioners Christian Caban and Bill Proctor to host the event.
