Street rods are back in York for the 51st year. Here’s what you need to know to see them

It’s time for the Ford Model Ts, Chevy Bel Airs and Dodge pickups to roll into York County.

The 51st annual Street Rod Nationals East will be held Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8 at the York Expo Center.

It is expected to draw more than 10,000 car enthusiasts to the area with 3,000-plus custom and vintage vehicles to be on display, according to a news release from Explore York and the National Street Rod Association.

It will feature street rods, hot rods, muscle cars and custom vehicles, according to the National Street Rod Association.

Here’s what you need to know about the event:

Hours for the Street Rod Nationals East at the fairgrounds

Spectators can visit the car show at the York fairgrounds throughout the weekend. The show will be held in the UPMC Arena, All Trans Memorial Hall and the Verandah Room.

The hours are:

• Friday, June 6: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday, June 7: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Sunday, June 3: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Price of admission for the Street Rod Nationals East

The admission prices for the event will be:

• $20 for individuals 13 and older
• $6 for children ages 6 to 12
• Free for children 5 and under

Families can get in for $45 with two adults and three children (12 and younger).

A $2 discount is available for active military, seniors over 60 and NSRA members if they have proper identification.

Entertainment and more at the Street Rod Nationals East

In addition to viewing the vehicles, spectators can listen to music, peruse automotive products, attend seminars, and more, according to a news release from the National Street Rod Association.

The event includes:

• Builders’ Showcase East: It will feature the finest builds from around the region.
• Nitro Fest: Drag cars will fire up on Friday and Saturday.
• Streets of Rods: It is a showcase of street rods on display.
• An automotive swap meet
• Automotive exhibits
• Games for adults and children
• Pin Striping for Charity
• Quilt contest and display
• Pin-up girls and best beard contest
• Safety inspections and seminars
• Model car and pedal car contest
• An awards program on Sunday with a cash sweepstakes: Three checks for $2,000 each will be given out.

The event includes live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.

Annual Street Rod parade set for Friday, June 6, 2025

One of the popular events during the Street Rod Nationals East is the parade.

It will be held at noon Friday, June 6, 2025.

Here is the parade route provided by Explore York, the tourism promotion agency for York County:

• Cars will line up at the York Expo Center, West Market Street Entrance, Gate #4
• Cars will turn left onto West Market Street and continue through downtown York to North Broad Street.
• Cars will turn left onto North Broad Street and then left onto West Philadelphia Street, heading back to the fairgrounds.
• Cars will continue on West Philadelphia Street until it merges to Carlisle Avenue.
• Cars will turn right onto Carlisle Avenue and enter the fairgrounds at the Carlisle Avenue traffic light, Gate #9
