
In a remarkable demonstration of dedication both on the field and in the classroom, several student-athletes from Emery High School have been named to the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) Academic All-State teams for the 2024–25 school year.
These prestigious awards are given to seniors who have demonstrated exceptional academic success while competing in high school athletics. Honorees must maintain a high GPA and score well on college entrance exams, all while balancing the demands of competitive sports.
In baseball, Hayden Christiansen – A leader on and off the field, Christiansen’s strong work ethic, sharp game instincts and dedication to academic excellence made him a key contributor to Emery’s baseball success and a role model for younger athletes.
Jace Frandsen – Known for his consistency and determination, Frandsen has balanced the rigors of varsity athletics with a stellar academic record, proving that high performance can extend beyond the baseball diamond.
For the softball team, Kali Jensen – A fierce competitor with a calm focus, Jensen brought leadership to the team and excellence to the classroom, showing a true commitment to both her sport and her studies.
Katelyn Nielson – With a strong sense of discipline and a team-first mentality, Nielson excelled not only as a dependable presence on the field but also as a standout student in the classroom.
TaiLynn Minchey – A multi-talented student-athlete, Minchey consistently demonstrated hard work, time management and a love for learning that made her a deserving Academic All-State honoree.
