Dozens of area food trucks competed Sunday, June 1, for the title of Lancaster’s Best at the third annual Lancaster’s Best Food Truck Competition Sunday at Root’s Country Market & Auction, south of Manheim.
Four food trucks competed in each of 12 categories, including doughnuts, desserts, Mexican, Italian, burgers, sandwiches and barbecue. A panel of judges picked the winners, while those attending the event also got to vote for their favorites.
Because of Saturday’s rainy forecast, the event was held on its rain date of Sunday. The event raises money for Joyful Doberman Rescue of PA.
