Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2025
June 2025 is such a crazy month for video game releases. It’s as good as any month gets, and then you add the console launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. It was tempting to make the entirety of the Switch 2 launch library the #1 game, but, in the end, we decided to single out the most important individual games. Our runner-up this month is Gex Trilogy. Limited Run seems to think there’s a massive audience for the PS1 Gex games, as they were big sellers in their day. Personally, I don’t know anyone who bought a Gex game. There must have been some mascot platformer trickery advertised to the elderly around Christmas time. Anyhoo, here are the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2025:
5. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army – June 19
Atlus has been regularly remastering and remaking classic Shin Megami Tensei games. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a remaster of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner – Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, originally for the PS2. It’s an action JRPG, with demon catching mechanics. The original had a lot going for it, but many players struggled with the slow combat. Early reports say the combat system has been completely rehauled, making this remaster more like a remake. Hopefully its sequel will be on a list like the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2025 sooner rather than later.
4. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster – June 5
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is the first of the Switch 2 launch titles on the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2025. It’s another remaster of a classic JRPG. The original Bravely Default has been trapped on the 3DS since its release. It’s one of the more acclaimed modern JRPGs, so genre fans will definitely want to grab this Switch 2 exclusive. A word of warning though, physical copies of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster won’t have the game on the cartridge. Hopefully Nintendo will end its plan of “game-key cards” as soon as possible.
