This TikTok-famous play place is opening its 1st Arizona location. Here’s what to know

The first Arizona location of a high-energy immersive gaming experience is coming soon.

“We’re excited to introduce a completely new kind of entertainment to Arizona — one that fuses cutting-edge technology with physical gameplay to create an immersive experience unlike anything else in the state,” Adam Schmidt, co-founder and CEO of Activate, said in a press release.

“Scottsdale is the perfect launchpad for Activate’s expansion in the state, and we can’t wait to see how Arizonans respond to this bold new way to play.”

Activate is planning to open in mid-June at 4848 E. Cactus Road, Phoenix, just west of Scottsdale.

What do you do at Activate games?

Activate will offer an action-packed mix of digital games and physical challenges for players age 6 and up.

There will be 13 high-tech game rooms, such as the TikTok famous Mega Grid, Mega Laser and Strike Control, which are designed to react to players’ actions in real time.

How much does it cost per person at Activate?

Prices for the Activate location in Phoenix haven’t been announced. According to the website for Activate in San Francisco, players must be at least 6 years old. The cost at that location is $35 for 60 minutes of play or $45 for 90 minutes.
