MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – JBC Coffee Roasters is a finalist for the 2025 Good Food Awards in the coffee category.
The Good Food Awards celebrate craft food and drink producers across the country.
Across 18 categories, 91 products from 86 companies were recognized as finalists. Winners will be announced on June 28.
Laura Salinger Johnson, Co-Owner of JBC Coffee Roasters, says they are excited to be nominated for the 7th time.
“We were really stoked, it’s a huge honor,” explained Salinger Johnson.
JBC Coffee Roasters specializes in high-end, unique, and specialty coffees.
The specific coffee nominated this year is for their “Las Margaritas Sudan Rume” coffee. Salinger Johnson says it is a rare and unique coffee variety that is very high quality.
“We have a lot of award-winning coffees, a lot of really unique coffees that we do direct trade with farmers and just really focusing on their sustainability and quality,” said Salinger Johnson.
JBC Coffee Roasters is based in Madison, but Salinger Johnson says they have customers nationwide.
She says it is an honor to represent Wisconsin in the contest, as they are the only nominees from the state.
“We’ve got a really thriving food market and restaurants and things like that, so it’s an honor to represent Wisconsin in that way. We’re proud of our state and proud of our fellow food Connoisseurs,” said Salinger Johnson.
