Vicksburg candidates file campaign finance reports

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Campaign finance reports are in for the June 3, 2025, municipal elections, with mayoral and alderman candidates revealing their contributions, expenditures and cash on hand as of the May 27 deadline.

Re-Elect George Flaggs Jr, Mayor of Vicksburg, MS

For the mayoral race, incumbent George Flaggs Jr. reported a total of $84,773 in campaign contributions ($79,773 itemized disbursements and $5,000 non-itemized), $44,755 in disbursements ($40,755 itemized and $4,000 in non-itemized), leaving him with $40,018 in cash on hand.

Mayoral candidate Kasman Massey reported a total of $1500 in campaign contributions, $1499.09 in expenditures, and $62.75 cash on hand.

Mayoral candidate Willis Thompson reported a total of $28,328 ($20,750 itemized disbursements and $7,932 non-itemized) in campaign contributions, $17,732.10 in expenditures ($16,311.79 itemized and $1.420.31 in non-itemized), with $10,949.90 cash on hand.

For the Ward 2 Alderman race, incumbent Alex Monsour reported $26,400.00 in campaign contributions (no variance between itemized and non-itemized), $24,085.67 in expenditures (no variance between itemized and non-itemized), leaving the current alderman with $2,314.33 cash on hand.

Vickie Bailey, Ward 2 challenger, reported no contributions, $2,374.06 in expenditures, and $100 cash on hand.
