Gretna restaurant serves free meals to kids all summer

James Beard-nominated Chef Marlon Williams of Chicken’s Kitchen announced he will be feeding kids for free all summer. Kids will be covered for both breakfast and lunch. Since his post on social media Chef Marlon says he has received a wave of calls from people in the community who want to chip in and support this movement. Both making sure kids have enough to eat and giving parents some relief.”There is no purchase necessary. No shame involved if you want to come and feed your babies. You don’t have to worry about buying nothing for yourself,” Chef Marlon said. “Free breakfast and lunch. We ain’t keeping count. We ain’t taking pictures. Just come through and feed your babies.”The kids will also be treated to a dessert option of cookies or cupcakes from Annointed Confections.
