Liverpool news: Opinion – Fan scorecard on 2024-25 season

Season rating: 10/10. We won the Premier League and Manchester United had the their worst season in living memory. I imagine I’d have taken that at the start of the campaign.

Happy with your manager? Absolutely. I already wouldn’t swap him for anybody in the world, including the man he replaced, Jurgen Klopp. He signed nobody bar Federico Chiesa and revitalised a team that had run out energy under the German. He made subtle tactical changes and got the best out of almost every player at his disposal. Imagine how good he’s going to be when he gets some of his own signings through the door?

Unsung hero: Alexis Mac Allister. For me, the best midfielder in the Premier League this season. Ryan Gravenberch has been praised for his brilliance at number six but the Argentine has been better overall. The fact he wasn’t up for Premier League player of the year and Declan Rice was is silly.

Player you would most like to sign: Alexander Isak. The best striker on the planet, coming into his absolute peak. I think it’ll be impossible though, so I’d take Florian Wirtz as a playmaking genius instead.
