STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) — Valley Mustangs Unlimited, in partnership with Paul Obaugh Ford, hosted a community car show that has raised $27,000 to benefit two local organizations.
The funds were presented to Special Olympics Area 5 and the Weekday Religious Education of Middle River Council during a check ceremony on Thursday, May 22.
“This isn’t just about a love for cars,” said Glenn Doggett, president of Valley Mustangs Unlimited. “We also reach out to community businesses, places of worship and other organizations to donate and sponsor because we want to make a difference in our community.”
This year had 40 sponsors and over half were first-time donors to the fundraiser. This year marked the 29th annual car show for the club and the largest fundraising total in its history.
