HONOLULU (Island News) — Pacific Historic Parks is inviting families to celebrate National Kids to Parks Day with free outdoor activities at Diamond Head State Monument on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held in partnership with the Hawai‘i Division of State Parks and the National Park Trust, the event features games, educational booths and hands-on activities designed to connect kids with nature and Hawaiian history.
President and CEO of Pacific Historic Parks, Aileen Utterdyke says “Experiences in places like Diamond Head build lifelong appreciation for the lands and stories that define Hawai‘i”.
PHP has hosted the event since 2018, aligning with its mission to preserve and educate about historic sites. Admission is free for Hawai‘i residents; visitors with valid park reservations may attend at no extra cost.
