MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – To foster a positive relationship with children in the community, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Mobile County Public School System for the first annual kids’ camp: Camp Explorer.
According to MCSO, children ages eight to 12 will engage in learning experiences, covering various aspects of public safety.
During the camp, children will be divided into four squads, simulating roles of deputies. MCSO will also organize field trips to local businesses and scenic locations within the county to give the children time to explore the community.
The first session will begin June 10 through June 12 at Semmes Middle School.
The second session will be June 24 through June 26 at Hankins Middle School.
