Pat Weldon’s 1969 Dodge Coronet Superbee won in the Best MoPar category at the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Car Show May 3. MoPar is a combination of the words “motor” and “parts” that Chrysler gave to their motor parts and performance parts line. Later it evolved into a generic term for Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth vehicles.

To honor the legacy of Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce President JoAnn Hanstrom, a special trophy was given in her memory. Husband Bill Hanstrom (from left), Charles Ivy and son Jeff Hanstrom present the trophy to Charles Abernathy (center). Hanstrom explained his decision, ”JoAnn and I, when we were first married, had a ‘47 Ford four door. I know she would have loved it.”
