CULLMAN, Ala. – The community is invited to come out and support a good cause at the upcoming Cullman County Relay For Life Benefit Car Show, set for Friday, May 31, from 5-9 p.m. at Depot Park in Cullman. Organized as part of Cullman’s Relay For Life efforts, the event aims to raise funds for cancer research and support services.

Registration for vehicles will begin at 4:30 p.m., with cars, trucks, bikes, rat rods and project vehicles welcome to participate. Vehicles will park on both sides of Arnold Street, with overflow parking available along the side streets and around the Depot Park. A $20 donation is requested to enter a vehicle into the show, with all proceeds benefiting the Cullman Relay For Life through the Cars for a Cure team.

The show will include awards for “Survivor’s Choice,” “People’s Choice” and “Best of Show.” In addition to the car show, the evening will feature food trucks, other Relay for Life team activities and a host of other family-friendly entertainment. A full preview of Relay For Life 2025 will be available soon.

Car Show Organizer, Jeff Harris, who has a long-standing connection to Relay For Life, shared the importance of this effort. “I was involved with Relay For Life about 20 years ago with Nicholson File. Relay For Life was a really big event in Cullman at that time. Since Covid, Relay For Life has been struggling and the Relay Committee has been looking for ways to build the event back up. I was asked to help organize a car show three years ago and enjoyed working with the committee and it was for a good cause. Everyone knows someone who has had to deal with cancer.”

He added, “So, this is a great way to be a part of raising money for cancer research, show off your ride and hang out and fellowship with other car enthusiasts. We are looking to grow the show each year and help support Relay For Life.”

Even if you don’t have a car to enter, donations are encouraged. Visitors can stop by the registration table to donate any amount to the Cars for a Cure team.
