In The US, Oblivion Remastered Ranks 3rd On Sales Chart Of 2025

Just one week after its release, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has become the third best-selling game of the year in the US market, following only Monster Hunter: Wilds and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

This is according to Mat Piscatella, Executive Director at industry-tracking firm Circana, who shared this result on Bluesky after analyzing data collected for the week that ended on April 26. Out on April 22, it was the best-selling game of the week, which seems quite reasonable as the game attracted four million players in just a few days after launch and reached over 216k concurrent players on Steam alone.

As a day-one game available for Game Pass subscribers, it’s reasonable to question whether this sales performance takes that into account. Mat has made it clear that it’s not included and confirmed that a subscription is not considered a sale in this instance.

It’s too early to say that the game will be the bronze medalist for the whole year chart, as there is more than half a year left, which will see strong competitors like the soon-to-arrive Doom: The Dark Ages, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Elden Ring Nightreign, Ghost of Yōtei, et cetera. However, the strong start of this remaster of a beloved title from nearly two decades ago and the potential for significant profit, thanks to the zero marketing cost, have undoubtedly created impressive records.
