Two months after Israel’s blockade, Gazans are nearly out of food

Friday marked two months since Israel imposed a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip. Hunger and shortages are worsening. The community kitchens that provide a significant portion of the nutrition in the Strip are beginning to close due to food shortages; there are reports of an increase in food looting; and thousands of children have been hospitalized for malnutrition. The United Nations and the International Red Cross are warning of the collapse of all humanitarian aid efforts in the Strip.
