BEA track teams are fourth at LCWM/N

Five teams, including Blue Earth Area, competed in the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet Invitational on Tuesday, April 29.

The BEA girls and the BEA boys each finished in fourth place.

Girls Results

St. Clair/Immanuel Lutheran finished in first place with 134.5 points. LCWM/N was the runner-up with 86.2 points, United South Central/Alden-Conger was third with 62.2, BEA was fourth with 59.9 and Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther was fifth with 22.2.

Tailor Douglas finished first in the pole vault when she cleared the bar at a height of 8-6. Parker Stallman placed fourth at 6-0.

Kyannah Brandt had a leap of 15-02 to finish in second place in the long jump. Sidney Eitzmann was fourth with a mark of 14-06.

Sarah Dohm was second in the triple jump with a distance of 30-09.

Dohm was fourth in the high jump with a mark of 4-05 and Addison Smith was fifth with a mark of 4-02.

Ada Ziegler had a throw of 83-10 to place sixth in the discus.

Taylor Ripley’s toss of 31-10 in the shot put was good for second place.

BEA’s Taylynn Amundson, Aaliyah Worden, Mikayla Becker and Grace Nelson had a time of 57.50 in the 4×100-meter relay to finish in fourth place.

Brandt, Sidney Eitzmann, Nelson and Breanna Hefner-Roggeman placed third in the 4×200-meter relay with a time of 1:58.86. Another BEA 4×200-meter relay team of Lola Faulhaber, Sarah Dohm, Mary Dohm and Mikayla Becker placed sixth in 2:09.42.

Aubrey Woodwick, Sidney Eitzmann, Caitlin Eitzmann and Emersen Weir crossed the finish line in 4:39.53 in the 4×400-meter relay to finish in second place. The BEA team of Natalie Schiltz, Amelia Weerts, Iree McKay and Mary Dohm had a time of 5:14.53 to place fourth.

Brandt placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.28.

In the 1600 meter run, April Garcia was fourth in 7:56.26 and Makayla Ankeny was fifth in 7:56.69.

Hefner-Roggeman was second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.78 and Becker was fifth in 14.43.

In the 200-meter dash, Hefner-Roggeman took sixth place with a time of 29.31.

Caitlin Eitzmann was fourth and Woodwick was fifth in the 400-meter dash. Eitzmann’s time was 68.99 and Woodwick’s was 69.20.

Sidney Eitzmann was fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:50.98.

Boys Results

LCWM/N finished in first place for the boys with a team total of 161 points. St. Clair/Immanuel Lutheran was a distant second with 76 points, United South Central/Alden-Conger finished third with 70, BEA was fourth with 54 and Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther was fifth with 4.

Isaac Anderson continued his fine season of high jumping by clearing the bar at 6-01 to finish in first place. Branson Hauskins finished in fifth place with a mark of 5-04.

Gage Barker finished fifth in the pole vault at a height of 9-00.

Hauskins was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 18-02.5.

In the triple jump, Ryder Stauffer finished in fifth place with a distance of 33-10.

Chase Gambell had a toss of 40-08 to finish third in the shot put.

The Bucs’ 4×100-meter relay team of Parker Stauffer, Ryder Stauffer, Hauskins and Anderson finished in third place with a time of 50.01.

Barker, Caden Juba, Jose Salinas and Jacob Grandgenett ran the 4×200-meter relay in 1:38.79 to capture second place in the event.

Juba, Julian Rodriguez, Pablo Ozuna and Marcus Eckles were fourth in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 4:00.38.

Eckles was second in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. His time in the 110-meter hurdles was 17.07 and he finished the 300-meter hurdles in 44.54.

Grandgenett crossed the finish line in the 100-meter dash in 11.56 to finish in second place. Salinas finished in fourth place in 11.83.

In the 400-meter dash, Grandgenett’s time of 54.78 was also good for a second-place finish.

Both track teams competed in the Bob Bonk Track Invitational at Fairmont on Friday, May 2. Look for the results of that meet in next week’s edition of the Faribault County Register.

BEA Buc 6 Invitational

Blue Earth’s Wilson Field was the site of the Blue Earth Area Buc 6 Invitational Track Meet held on Friday, April 25.

Five other teams joined the host Blue Earth Area Bucs to compete in the meet under windy conditions with partly sunny skies.

Girls Results

BEA made it close but United South Central/Alden-Conger pulled out the victory in the end with 111 points compared to 103.2 for the Bucs. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet was right behind BEA in third place with 101.6 points. Maple River finished fourth with 99.6 points, Martin County West was fifth with 74 and Granada- Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther finished sixth with 49.6.

The Bucs had a number of fine performances during the meet.

The 4×800-meter team continues to improve. Aubrey Woodwick, Caitlin Eitzmann, Sidney Eitzmann and Emersen Weir put together their best time of the year at the meet to finish in first place with a time of 11:16.50.

Kyannah Brandt, Iree McKay, Mikayla Becker, Breanna Hefener-Roggeman ran to a first-place finish in the 4×100-meter relay with a time of 57.7. A second Buccaneer 4×100 team of Valeria Benayas, Aurora Durante, Isabella Nava and Rocio Ucelay finished in sixth place with a time of 63.0.

Also taking first place was the 4×200-meter relay team of Brandt, Grace Schavey, Grace Nelson and Hefner-Roggeman. Their winning time was 1:59.40 and was their best time of the year.

Brynlee Amundson, Khloe McGowan, Parker Stallman and Amelia Harper also competed in the 4×200-meter relay and finished in sixth place with a time of 2:08.5.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Caitlin Eitzmann, Sidney Eitzmann, Mary Dohm and Woodwick took second place with a time of 4:47.0.

Tailor Douglas cleared the bar in the pole vault at a height of 8-9 to finish in first place while Stallman cleared a height of 6-9 to finish in fifth place.

Brandt placed first in the long jump with a leap of 14-3.25. Mary Dohm was fourth with a mark of 12-6.5.

In the triple jump, Sarah Dohm was third with a distance of 29-3 and Sidney Eitzmann was fourth at 28-6.5.

Sarah Dohm and Addison Smith tied for fifth place in the high jump with a height of 4-2.

Taylor Ripley was second in the shot put with a toss of 29-6.

Ada Ziegler’s throw of 76-5 was good for fourth place in the discus while Anna Mwangi was fifth with a distance of 75-2.

Brandt placed first in the long jump with a leap of 14-3.25. Mary Dohm was fourth with a mark of 12-6.5.

Brandt was sixth in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 19.17.

Emersen Weir was sixth in the 300-meter low hurdles with a time of 58.0.

Harper was fifth in the 200-meter dash in 30.17.

Lola Faulhaber placed fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 74.2. Mary Dohm’s time of 75.4 was good for sixth place.

April Garcia ran to a fourth-place finish in the 1600-meter run with a time of 7:59.2.

Boys Results

The Bucs finished in fourth place with Maple River capturing first place with 168 points. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet was second with 136 points, United South Central/Alden Conger was third with 122, BEA’s fourth-place total was 61.5, Martin County West was fifth with 57 and Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther was sixth with 8.5.

Jacob Grandgenett had the Bucs’ only first-place performance. He crossed the finish line in first place in the 110-meter dash with a time of 11.37. Jose Silinas was fourth in 11.74.

Gage Barker, Marcus Eckles, Salinas and Grandgenett finished third in the 4×100-meter relay with a time of 46.19.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Oliver Ankeny, Julian Rodriguez, Hayden Prestegard and Pablo Ozuna was fifth in 4:11.0

Gibson Haase had a time of 15.11.30 in the 3200-meter run to take sixth place.

Grandgenett crossed the finish line in the 200-meter dash in 23.27 to finish in second place. Salinas was fourth in 24.53 and Ryder Stauffer was sixth in 25.35.

Prestegard finished in sixth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 63.4.

Eckles was second in both the 110-meter high hurdles and the 300-meter low hurdles. His time in the high hurdles was 16.58 and his time in the low hurdles was 44.10.

Oliver Ankeny’s time of 5:52.6 was good for fourth place in the 1600-meter run.

In the pole vault, Gage Barker cleared the bar at a height of 8-9 to finish in sixth place.
